Crosswise
A mutant mashup of crossword, word search, and sudoku.
Sudoku?
- The board is made up of rows, columns, and boxes. Boxes are the smaller sections you see with alternate background shading.
- A letter can only appear once in any row, column, or box.
- The puzzle can be solved using logic alone, in only one way.
Crossword?
- A grid of squares hold one letter each
- Numbered squares are the beginnings of words
- Clues are given by numbers; words may be vertical (down) or horizontal (across).
Word Search?
- A grid of random-looking letters conceals hidden words.
- Words can go up, down, or diagonal, and may run forward or backwards.
- There may or may not be clues to all the words!
Crosswise?
- Fill in the letters, following all the rules listed above.
- When you think you're done, click the Check button. If you get the green checkmark, that's it!
